The OGF Basic Execution Services (BES) working group is focused specifications for a minimal sub-set of execution management services useful across a broad range of computing environments and supported by many underlying execution frameworks. The Job Submission Description Language (JSDL) WG has produced a language that describes the requirements of jobs for submission to Grids. JSDL 1.0 is an XML-based language that focuses mainly on computational jobs. The JSDL-WG is working on extending this language to address a wider class of jobs. This session will focus primarily on JSDL.
