Abstract -- The panel will discuss the emerging area of Extreme Data.  Today's connected world generates more data than ever before with endless possibilities for using data to drive decisions.  Because of the continued growth of sensors, mobile devices and automation, this data has taken on new characteristics in how we move it, ingest it, process it and drive decisions and actions.  Panel members will discuss the emerging work and advanced technologies needed to handle the next generation of information created.  Advanced technologies will include discussions of both hardware and software innovations around scalable computing and algorithms for intelligent data processing.
